Slow Cooker Short Ribs

Is there anything more caveman than eating huge, meaty beef ribs? I don’t think so. I found these beautiful Dino Short Ribs at Moody’s Meat Market and had to have them to make my favorite slow cooker beef short ribs. I have been working on a slow cooker ribs recipe for years and finally have it mostly perfected. The short ribs end up being SO tender and falling off the bone even as I plate them. Tonight I’m serving them with Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes and Proscuitto Wrapped Asparagus. ENJOY!

Ingredients
  1. 4-5 LBS Beef Short Ribs
  2. 2 TBLS Coconut Oil
  3. Salt and Pepper
  4. 1 15oz can Tomato Sauce
  5. 6 TBLS Honey
  6. 6 TBLS Worcestershire Sauce
  7. 3 Cloves minced garlic
  8. 1.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
  9. Rosemary Sprigs
Prepare Ribs
  1. Add coconut oil to pan on high heat
  2. Season ribs with salt and pepper on each side
  3. Once oil is melted, add seasoned ribs one by one
  4. Sear ribs on all sides 30-60 seconds per side- the point is to brown the outside, not cook them
  5. Place browned ribs in crock pot
  6. add minced garlic to hot pan and cook
  7. add cooked garlic to crock pot
Marinade
  1. Add Tomato sauce, honey, Worcestershire, onion powder to small bowl and whisk until combined
  2. Pour marinade over ribs and garlic
  3. Add rosemary to crock pot
  4. Cook on low for 7-9 hours
